Depending on how the Service is used, this may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, business or brand names, billing and shipping addresses, transaction information and limited payment-related information associated with rental transactions., customer names, shipping addresses, rental history, and other information necessary to facilitate rental operations, which you submit to us through the registration process at the Site.

1. Information collected via Technology

To create and use an account with the Service, Merchants must provide certain Personal Information, which may include their name, email address, phone number, business or brand name, business address, and other information necessary to establish and maintain an account.

When you visit or use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical information from your browser or device, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring website, pages visited, date and time of access, and other information relating to your use of the Service.

Information Processed on Behalf of Merchants

Rent Independent LLC provides software that enables independent fashion Merchants to offer rental services directly through their own websites. In providing the Service, Rent Independent LLC processes certain customer information on behalf of Merchants in connection with rental transactions conducted through the Merchants' websites. Such information may include customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing addresses, shipping addresses, order history, rental dates, and other information necessary to facilitate rental operations. Merchants remain responsible for their relationships with their customers and for determining how customer information is collected and used. Rent Independent LLC processes such information solely as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service, fulfill its contractual obligations to Merchants, comply with applicable law, and improve the functionality and performance of the Service.

2. Information you provide us by registering for an account

To access certain features of the Service, merchants must create an account. At this time, the Service is available to merchants operating stores on the Shopify platform. When registering, you may be asked to provide Personal Information, including your name, email address, phone number, business or brand name, business address, and account credentials such as a username and password.

You may also choose to provide additional information necessary to configure and operate your rental program through the Service, including business information, product listings, inventory information, rental settings, and other content you submit through the Service.

By creating an account and using the Service, you authorize the Company to collect, store, and use the information you provide in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for use by individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, use, or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly permit such individuals to create an account or use the Service.

If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as practicable.

Rent Independent LLC processes customer information submitted through the Service on behalf of merchants in connection with rental transactions. Such information is processed solely as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and to fulfill our contractual obligations to merchants. We do not currently use customer Personal Information for independent advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to providing or improving the Service unless otherwise disclosed to merchants or authorized by applicable law or agreement. If Rent Independent LLC expands its services in the future, including through additional platform functionality or marketplace offerings, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect those changes.

Non-Personal Information

We may use Non-Personal Information to operate, improve, analyze, and customize the Service, understand usage trends, develop new features, and enhance the user experience.
